Kilchoman Loch Gorm 2019
Loch Gorm is the name given to the annually released sherry cask matured limited edition of Kilchoman. The loch, a lake situated on Islay, is cloudy and peaty in color, reflects the dark copper color of the sherry-ripened version of Loch Gorm.
Since Loch Gorm is the only version in the Kilchoman range that is fully matured in sherry casks, Loch Gorm has always attracted the attention of whiskey enthusiasts. This edition is bottled in a circulation of 15,000 bottles.
Over the years, the Loch Gorm series evolved, with each new edition containing a different combination of barrels. For the 2019 edition, Kilchoman selected twenty oloroso sherry butts from 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011, meaning that for the first time Loch Gorm will contain 12 and 13-year-old barrels from Kilchoman warehouses.
