Grand Marnier is a liqueur, first made in 1880 by Alexandre Marnier-Lapostolle from the Marnier company established in 1827 by his family.
It’s a sort of triple sec, made from a mix of brandy, distilled essence of orange and other ingredients. Grand Marnier contains 40% alcohol. It comes in different varieties to drink neat or in cocktails.
The name Grand Marnier was thought of by César Ritz, the famous Parisian hotel owner. He got the idea when Alexandre let him taste his Curaçao Marnier......

Grand Marnier Gordon Rouge is being made since 1880 based on the secret family recipe by Louis Alexandre Marnier Lapostelle. It combines the exotic character of orange with the noble character of brandy. It ripens slowly in oak barrels, where it gets its round and complex taste from. Serving advice: mix it with ginger ale and a dice of lime.
Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge is the original recipe for a French Coffee. This French liqueur is a combination of the best brandy and the distillate of dried orange peels and is delicious after a nice meal. It can be drunk along with your coffee and in your coffee, with or without whipped cream.
We prefer it in our coffee with whipped cream! Grand Marnier also adds something to cocktails and long drinks and can be drunk neat or on the rocks.
Grand Marnier is one of the world's best-known liqueurs.
